$127 Million Investment in New Zealand’s National Electricity Grid

As at 30 June 2026, the Fidelity Capital Sustainable Energy Fund had committed $127 million in private credit to Transpower New Zealand, the owner and operator of New Zealand’s national electricity transmission grid. Further investments are anticipated as Fidelity continues to deepen its long-term funding partnership with Transpower.

A Long-Term Funding Partner

Transpower Treasurer Chris Sutherland described Fidelity as a “professional and constructive funding partner”, recognising its role in supporting critical electricity infrastructure:

“The projects supported by these investments will improve network resilience, enable new renewable generation and support New Zealand’s transition to a more electrified economy.”
